Large lacquered wooden box inlaid with mother-of-pearl in the shape of flowers, butterflies, bamboo, Greek motifs... Brought China to France by a French officer around 1890.
Beautiful ornamentation which apparently has no mother-of-pearl missing, however two metal corner pieces are missing.
