Large Art Deco period vase circa 1925 signed - Carrillo - Model listed in the catalog raisonné of the time and titled "Ancient Greece" presenting an ovoid structure in thick glass decorated in relief on all sides depicting a dancer in a stretched position on a background with a typically Art Deco plant and geometric pattern. Good condition. Dimensions: 22 cm high x 19 cm wide X 16 cm deep.
In the 1920s-1930s Carrillo specialized in the manufacture of bottles for perfumery, pharmacy, cutting, frosting and decorations for luxury bottles. This glassworks had its head office in Paris, 134 rue Broca in the 13th arrondissement, with the company name Lesage & Carrillo. As evidenced by period catalogs, Carrillo vases and glassware were sold by the luxury lighting store Luminax, located at 24 rue de la Pépinière in Paris's 8th arrondissement. Its catalogs also featured well-known designs by Henri Heemskerk of the Scailmont glassworks.
