Maison Puiforcat, refined centerpiece in solid silver - Weight: 2 Kg 200 - featuring a Medici-shaped soup tureen with Empire-style decoration bearing the Puiforcat - Paris stamp & the 1st title solid silver hallmark & the hallmark with the initials EP for the master silversmith Emile Puiforcat. It rests on a circular pedestal chiseled with a guilloché decoration, the body is decorated with mascaron-shaped handles with the figure of Ceres crowned with laurel, successively bordered by a row of gadroons and pearls, motifs that can be found on the lid topped with a pine cone grip resting on a terrace decorated with acanthus leaves, fleurons and applied scrolls. Very good condition, dimensions 25 cm high X 28 cm wide X 24 cm diameter.
