Dried laurel branch blessed by Pope Pius VII on April 7, 1805, in a very pretty Empire period frame with palmettes in stuccoed and gilded wood, all covered with an antique protective glass in perfect condition, with a few bubbles from blowing. Signed manuscript: This laurel was blessed by His Holiness Pope Pius VII on April 7, 1805, in the metropolitan church of Saint Peter of Troyes in Champagne, capital of the department of Aube, immediately after the mass celebrated by this pontiff in the said church, which I attended as a judge of the court of first instance sitting in Nogent-sur-Seine, in full costume and assembled with all the constituted authorities of the department. [Signature] Dimensions: - Overall: H 29 cm / width 26 cm. - Visible: Height 20.5 cm / width 18 cm. Good overall condition. Note: a small paper loss in the upper right corner of the document, and a slight tear under the signature due to the ink burning through the paper over time.
