Impressive French Directoire ( 1795-1799 ) Mahogany Mantle Clock.
The clock is impressive by the simplicity of the typical Directoire design.
Still with the original movement and made original only with a single train movement.
The movement with silk suspension.
In original condition, no missing pieces.
With the original nice old used patination.
A similar clock is documented in a French book. ( see photo )
The movement has been cleaned and is in fully working order.
