The original patinated bronze lion, simulates the famous “Butte de Lion” (Lion’s Mound)
This monument in Braine-L’Alleud, Walloon Brabant, Belgium overlooking the battle field of Waterloo.
This monument was designed by the royal architect Charles van der Straeten at the Behest of King William I Of the Netherlands and was finished in 1826.
The original fully cleaned and serviced movement with silk suspension , striking every 30 minutes.
All over in original very good used condition.
40cm high, 22.5cm wide, 12cm deep.
