Very beautiful Louis XVI style "cage" model clock, the enameled dial (diameter 16.5 cm) with Roman numerals for the hours, Arabic minute indication and gilded hands. Signed on the dial "Lepaute à Paris".
The dial is surrounded by a ribbon and a laurel garland in ormolu. Mounted in a gilt bronze case with beveled glass panels on all sides.
At the base a gilt bronze frieze representing putti, creating a garland of love with flowers in a crown. The clock stands on a white marble base and on four rounded feet. Strikes on the hour, duration approximately 8 days.
This clock is in good condition, the mechanism needs to be cleaned by a watchmaker.
