Delftware tobacco jar with brass lid. Inscribed "Hanover" in a cartouche. Framed by two Indian chiefs smoking pipes. Both standing next to bales of tobacco. Base marked "De Porceleyne Clauw". Dutch, circa 1780
Height without lid: 21 cm
Condition: Rim section restored by 3.2 cm and break at the base of the neck
