André Verger (1912-1990) painter, sculptor, decorator, restorer, gilder. He exhibited every August for 25 years in Royan. His painting, whatever the technique, oil or gouache, is a direct expression of nature itself. Master of gouache, a very difficult technique, his ability to render light is remarkable. A student of the Beaux Arts in Paris, all his life he was devoured by the sacred fire. Oil on canvas signed lower left and dated 1945. Format: 27 x 35 cm With gilded wooden frame: 36.5 x 44 cm
