Pair of Sarreguemines earthenware vases with a decoration inspired by the Italian Renaissance period, late 19th century. Superb pair of large vases signed underneath in cursive letters "sarreguemines" underglaze but also hollow in the paste. Flared roll shape at the neck. Decor inspired by Urbino and Faenza earthenware. Rich polychromy and profusion of decorations with masks, horns of plenty, all in a polylobed escutcheon. On the base and around the neck there are leafy garlands and flower baskets. Borders with twisted friezes and arabesques on a yellow ochre background. Base with oves in celadon shades. Very good general condition. One vase has a mini restoration of 3 mm on the edge of the neck. Diameter: 35.5 cm. Diameter at the neck: 17.5 cm. Diameter at the base: 13 cm.
