It measures 127 cm wide by 196 cm long with 560,000 knots per m2.
The central medallion motif depicts a large, stylized blue flower in full bloom, accompanied by two halberd-shaped pendants.
## Looking carefully at the design, we appreciate the multitude of details, its delicacy of execution and its immense beauty.
This motif is surrounded by other numerous flowers, roses and peonies, covering the field mixed with interlacing in the manner of sinuous branches.
Two pendants accompany the rosette in the length direction.
The wide border, composed of varied motifs, palmettes and alternating branches is inspired by old models of Herat.
The whole of this piece is in good condition, certainly with its wear due to its age, the clean velvet, the restored selvedges as well as the short fringes.
The general condition is very good.
We do not observe any reduction of pile, the wool used is of first quality because of a great finesse in its preparation.
The colors have remained fresh, soft and delicate, certainly they have lost their vigor but without loss of color and not insolated. The deep shades, red and blue blend perfectly with the supporting cream many other colors, a touch of almond green, very pale blue, midnight blue.........
Note the quality of the border and its two braids that accompany it.
Kork wool is the softest and silkiest wool taken exclusively at the first shearing of the lambs, mainly under the neck and belly.
