Persia, early 20th century: "Important chiseled flowerpot", brass, 14 cm high, 24 cm in diameter at the belly, 19 cm at the neck. Slight deformations, green oxidation in the backgrounds highlighting the relief chiseling.
The quality of execution of this piece, with its hemmed neck and deep chiseling on several registers indicates that the recipient was someone of importance.
A frieze of seated figures with crossed legs separated by graphic motifs, below, another with separate writings of flowers, still below, large stylized writings then a frieze of gazelles facing each other.
An inscription engraved below, perhaps a signature.
