Hunter With Hare, Cg Ferville - Suan, Bronze, France, 19th Century.
Representation of a hunter proudly presenting his game. He holds a firearm in his left hand and a hare raised high in his right hand. A satchel thrown over his back completes his hunting outfit. The whole is placed on a simple four-sided base with an explanatory plaque.

Suan Charles Georges Ferville - Suan (1847-1925) - French sculptor, student of François Jouffroy. After his studies at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, he created both medallions and sculptures. He worked mainly in plaster, marble and bronze. Between 1872 and 1909, he exhibited his works at the French Salons. He specialized in figurative sculpture, drawing inspiration from mythological and romantic representations.
