Porcelain Biscuit Group, Subject: Goat And Cupids, Statue Of Cherubs, Cherubs, Putti
Very pretty group in porcelain biscuit representing three Cupids playing with a goat. One of the Cupids rides the goat, the second is lying on the ground and holds it by the horns, the last pulls on a garland of flowers and leaves. The whole is presented on a pretty oval base finely decorated with leaves. This subject is of high quality and presents a beautiful finesse of execution. The whole is in very good condition, only three missing fingertips on the lying cherub and three tiny lacks on the garland of leaves, (see last photos). These small accidents are almost inevitable with time, on this type of object. It is unsigned. The subject treated here strongly recalls the paintings made by Piat-Joseph Sauvage (1744-1818) Dimensions: length: 30 cm width: 14 cm height: 20 cm Shipping costs contact us.
