Armchair With Leather Seat And Backrest, Louis XIII-style Walnut Armchair, Ideal For An Office, 19th Century

A charming armchair with a high seat and short backrest, also known as an “armchair,” in the Louis XIII style, made of solid walnut and dating from the 19th century. 
This chair is particularly interesting due to its compact proportions; it rests on four legs connected by an H-shaped brace, as well as a high front crossbar, all beautifully turned into balusters.
The armrests and armrest supports feature the same craftsmanship.
The upholstery on our armchair is original and in very good condition.
It is firm and comfortable; the backrest and seat are covered in a lovely havana-colored leather that has acquired, over time, a beautiful patina with some darker shades.
Beautiful studded finish throughout.
This chair can be used as an office chair.
Please note: there are a few minor, insignificant chips on the tips of some of the legs, due to wear and tear and inevitable given the chair’s age (see photo 11 ) as well as a small repair on the top of the right armrest (see photo 12 ), which does not affect the chair’s stability.
