Bronze Clock Signed Leroy Paris “sappho With The Lyre” Charles X Period
Elegant gilt bronze clock with the allegory of Sappho, Greek poetess, playing the lyre. The terrace echoes the musical repertoire with its lyre and laurel wreath decoration, resting on two bell feet on the front. Enameled dial with finely chiseled wheel, Arabic numerals and Bréguet hands, signed Leroy Paris. Wire movement revised and working perfectly. Adjustment of the wire height (forward/backward) at twelve o'clock with its supplied key. Clock in very good condition, with its original gilding. Height 32 cm, width 22 cm, depth 9.5 cm.
