Small Lady's Box In Boiled Cardboard, Curved Glass And Artificial Flowers, 19th Century
Elegant little lady's box, fly box type, circular in shape, in cream boiled cardboard decorated with small decorative serrated elements, the domed glass lid enclosing a woman's metal profile on a medallion of old pink paper, circumscribed by a ring of small paper flowers. The interior of boiled cardboard also, with turquoise blue colored ring. There is a small crack on the glass (inside, therefore invisible when the box is closed), some oxidation on the female profile, and two small flowers detached from the glass; all this is documented as best as possible in the photographs. Tiny losses to the serrated elements which adorn the lid. In any case, a very delicate and feminine object with a certain charm.
