The Smell Of The 19th Century: Two Corset-style Perfume Bottles, Complete With Their Perfume. 19th Century
A very interesting pair of perfume bottles still filled with the precious elixir, dating from the 19th century.
The bottles are made of blown glass, decorated with colored glass pastilles. They are closed with an emery stopper, and one of them still has some of its sealing wax.
The base of the bottle shows the trace of the breakage on the pontil.
I didn't try to open the bottle with wax, and I wasn't successful with the second one.
Finding such old bottles still containing perfume is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the scent of centuries past.
11.5 cm
59.16 grams gross for the pair
Good condition. One of the bottles is missing glass pastilles. Scent not guaranteed ;)
