"A Rare Colourway Monart Glass Paisley Shawl Pattern Baluster Vase Shape Fa. 32cm"
This is a rare high quality Scottish Monart Paisley Shawl design Art Deco glass vase, One of the best Vases Monart produced and was made some time in the early 1930's period at the Monart factory in Moncrief Scotland. This impressive baluster form vase is, shape FA, It is one of the more unusual and rare colourways of this scarce surface decoration, the light green, blue, red and white all over whorled design, with a clear liner Like all early Monart glass It is handblown and has a raised polished pontil to the base. The entire Vase is presented in absolutely superb condition and is ready to display. Like most early Monart Vases this is unsigned but is easily identified by it's pontil etc. This is a large example and measures 13 Inches (32cm) Tall by 8 Inches (20cm) Wide. To sum this up this is an extremely rare and desirable Monart Vase that scarcely comes on the open market for sale. I've had it a while and it's time for someone else to enjoy it.
