Jacquot Pitcher From Eastern France, 19th Century
Jacquot Pitcher, Eastern France, 19th century. Depicts a soldier in revolutionary attire with a "bicorne" wearing a cockade. He classically holds a bottle and a glass. Predominantly raw enamel (missing the classic green, yellow, blue, and black). The manufacturer remains to be defined. In good condition. A crack on the handle, no repairs. Note some wear to the enamel (knees). A lack of enamel on the handle (manufacturing defect) and a crack in the neck (removal of the clay during drying). (See multiple photos).
