Pewter oil jug from Languedoc? - 19th century. Pewter oil jug in a baluster shape with a quarter-round foot, flared neck, long curved spout with facets, and domed lid with a palmette thumb rest. Without a true hallmark but bearing a maker's mark: "SARASIN," Languedoc origin to be confirmed (see photos). Good condition. Note, however, three tiny dents on the body at the level of the handle. Total height 19.7 cm.
