A rare and highly collectible Royal Doulton Art Decovase from the renowned Mandarin Ware series, designed by Robert Allen around1920. Finely hand-painted with a vibrant flamingo and stylized flowers, setagainst a rare white ground with the characteristic bold black rim - a hallmarkof Allen’s design. The Mandarin Ware line was exhibited internationally andexported to Europe and the USA, admired for its rich enamels, durabledecoration, and complex hand-painting technique. Works by Allen and other artists for this series areregarded as more important and artistically significant—and command higherprices—than standard Doulton wares of the period. The vase is robustly potted(shape 1256D), marked underneath with the impressed shape number, pattern code,factory mark, and RN 304 (official design registration).                                            Outstandingoriginal condition.
