Pair Of Rhython Vases In Gilded Ruby Glass, Russia, Mid-19th Century
- Pair of glass and gilt bronze rython vases mounted on a marble and bronze base, Russian work dating from the 19th century.
- Large vases in the shape of a horn of plenty with nine facets in cut and colored glass "golden ruby". This transparent glass with an interior color "golden ruby" is made by adding gold chloride to the molten glass. These vases are inserted in a gilt bronze mount in the shape of a dolphin head (removable glass). The whole rests on a rectangular base of white marble mounted on a patinated bronze base. The vases come from a Russian glass factory from the mid-19th century.
- Condition: Good state of conservation, wear is to be noted (see photos, on the notches at the top of the vases and on one of the white marbles)
