"Limoges/paris Porcelain Plate, Sèvres Style, Hand-painted, C.1860"
French porcelain plate, Limoges or Paris, c.1860, decorated in the style of Sèvres. The center is beautifully hand-painted with a naturalistic bouquet of garden flowers, framed by a rich crimson border with elaborate gilded scrollwork and cartouches of floral reserves. The plate is finished with exceptional quality gilding, all in perfect condition. The decoration is executed in genuine baked paint, not cold enamel, ensuring durability and authenticity characteristic of high-quality mid-19th century French porcelain. Marked on the reverse with an overglaze red stamp "DECORÉ A SEVRES." The presence of three neatly spaced stilt marks on the reverse is a clear sign of traditional kiln firing, characteristic of fine French porcelain from the mid-19th century. This is a reliable indicator of age and authenticity, rarely found on later pieces. A decorative and well-preserved example of mid-19th century French porcelain, ideal for collectors and connoisseurs. Condition: Outstanding original condition. No chips, cracks, restoration, or wear. Gilding and enamel completely intact. Dimensions: Diameter 23.8 cm, height 2.3 cm. Please study the accompanying photographs carefully as they form an integral part of this description.
