It features a cubic face with round eyes and mouth inlaid with red seeds, a characteristic aesthetic of the Benue people of Nigeria, and surrounded by circles of red mineral paint. The object has a deep patina of use, a sign of its age. This mask is authentic and has no restorations. It dates from the first half of the 20th century.
