Leonid Frechkop (Moscow, 1897-Brussels, 1982).
Studied at the Moscow Academy, student of C. Korovin, A. Archipov and N. Kassatkin until 1920. Won the Prix de Rome. Leonid Frechkop went to Paris in 1921 then settled permanently in Brussels in 1922.
He created sets for the Antwerp theater, and opera sets. Linked to the artistic and intellectual milieu of the time, his work was associated with the New Objectivity movement until 1930.
Works at the Ixelles Museum, at the Brussels Print Room.
