Beautiful mirror in carved and gilded wood, on a blue/green lacquered background. Violin-shaped with leaf and scroll decoration, this type of mirror with a colored background is typical of the work of Provençal mirror makers in the mid-18th century. (see magazine photo). Original mercury glass. Very good overall condition.
