Enrolled at the National School of Decorative Arts in Limoges, Jeanne Soubourou was first a student of the painter Charles Bichet before practicing enamel with Léon Jouhaud.
Better known for her production of enameled plaques where she modernized the medieval technique of champlevé, she exhibited regularly and attracted attention at the International Exhibition of Decorative Arts in 1925.
Trained as a painter, Jeanne Soubourou gives us here a pretty still life with a bouquet of nasturtiums.
