Pair Of Romantic Vases In Painted Sheet Metal From The 19th Century

Very pretty pair of painted sheet metal vases with romantic decoration.
It is quite unusual to find them in such a small format.
They are really miniatures for this type of sheet metal vase.
They are all the more interesting as each side is decorated with animated scenes with romantic decor of ancient ruins etc.
but painted by hand, it is not chromolithography or decalcomania but real small paintings.
Cornet-shaped, they rest on 4 claw feet with remnants of gilding and screwed onto a square base painted in faux red marble in the style of Italian griotte red.
The whole is in good condition despite some small lacks of paint and some dents visible in the photos.
