(1669): "Historical Praise of the City of Lyon", and its Consular Grandeur under the Romans, & under our Kings. By Father Claude François Menestrier, of the Society of Jesus. Pierre Menestrier Heraldist and renowned historian wrote an important book on the governance and history of the city of Lyon, ancient capital of Gaul. This beautiful copy illustrated with a good number of plates of coats of arms is a mine of historical information and a rare work, the beautiful plans adding to this book a certain interest and a precious historical source.
