In two remarkable octavo volumes / Printed in Paris by Pierre le Petit, Printer & Bookseller to the King, rue Saint-Jacques, at the sign of the Golden Cross. 1676. The Ecclesiastes of Solomon, translated into French (by de Sacy). With an explanation drawn from the Holy Fathers and Ecclesiastical Authors, third edition. Vignette on the title page and frontispiece by J. Bap. de Champagne, engraved by G. Edelinck (ownership erased by time), headpieces and tailpieces, a fine copy in its contemporary binding. & The Song of Songs, translated into French (by de Sacy), with an explanation drawn from the Holy Fathers and Ecclesiastical Authors. In Paris, by Guillaume Desprez, Printer & Bookseller. du Roy, rue Saint-Jacques, at Saint Prosper & aux trois Vertus, opposite the gate of the Mathurins cloister, 1698. These two fine books are bound in tinted calfskin, spines with raised bands decorated with gilt fleurons in the compartments, gilt titles, pinked edges; fine contemporary bindings preserved for these two great classics of Christian liturgy, a translation by one of the best authors of the time.
