Pair of Japanese Imari vases, 17th century. The pair of baluster-shaped vases are hand-decorated in the Imari palette with decorations on a white background, in shades of brick red and blue, with representations of flowers and large dark blue and gold pastilles. Birds and flowering shrubs compose a decoration framed by two geometric friezes.
