Important carved oak statue, representing Saint John the Baptist in hermit's attire, wearing a sheepskin tunic and pointing with his index finger at the lamb at his feet. Formerly painted with slight remains of polychromy in places. 17th century period. The posture is asymmetrical (contrapposto), the hair abundant, the long and thin face underlined by a beard, slightly inclined in a pensive and melancholic expression. Dimensions: height 93 cm - width 40 cm approximately. Missing one hand and one foot.
