The House by the Sea, a pastel drawing by Pierre Prins (1838-1913), likely dating from the very end of the 19th century or the early years of the 20th century. Signed lower right. Image dimensions: height 25 cm - width 64 cm. Overall dimensions: height 30 cm - width 69 cm. Very good condition. Pierre Prins was a French painter, sculptor, and engraver, close to Sisley and Manet (his wife posed for a painting by the latter). His works can be seen in numerous public collections, including those of the Musée d'Orsay and the Musée Carnavalet.
