Small Mathieu Matégot Table, Iron And Trefoil Sheet, Artimeta Soest, Circa 1950
Artist: Mathieu Matégot
Rare small coffee or side table by Mathieu Matégot (1910 - 2001), executed under license from Artimeta Soest, in the Netherlands, a firm that produced Matégot models under the name "Original Mategot Products" in the 1950s.
Square format, 4 tapered square-section legs, trefoil perforated sheet metal top, early 1950s.
Good condition, light traces of superficial oxidation, patina of time on a white paint that does not seem original but which would have covered an original black tint... (?)
Perfect as a bedside table or end table.
Length x width = 43.5 x 43.5 cm
Height 42 cm
Weight 4.750 kg
