"Set Of Three Nesting Tables Signed Prodhon – Paris, Circa 1950"
Refined set of three nesting tables, signed Prodhon – Paris France under each top. This is a creation of the house of Louis Prodhon, renowned Parisian cabinetmaker of the 1950s–1970s, known for his neoclassical furniture with high-end finishes. Tops in exotic wood veneer (probably rosewood), with regular and luminous grain, glossy varnished finish. Elegant and sober molded frame. Fluted legs in gilded brass, inspired by the Louis XVI style, finished with fine tapered sabots. Signature stamped in iron under each of the three tables: Prodhon – Paris France ???? Approximate dimensions (to be completed): Large: 50x30x47 cm Medium: 41x29x43 cm Small: 31x28x29 cm General condition: good – some slight signs of use visible on the legs but the whole remains homogeneous, stable and very presentable. Decorative and functional piece, typical of French luxury furniture from the 1950s, very fashionable in classic or Haussmann chic interiors.
