Miniature Tortoiseshell Box, Louis XV Period, Militaria, Captain
Miniature of Captain Charles de la Briche mounted on a tortoiseshell box with a decoration studded with pink and yellow gold lozenges. Louis XV period. He joined the army in 1744 and rose through the ranks to become a first-class captain in 1765. At the end of his career, he took part in the Seven Years' War. Two small losses to the lozenge.
