The mirror frames are richly decorated with carved and gilded wood. Please see our photos to admire the fine details: beaded inner edges, floral motifs and ribbons on the outside.
An intricately carved floral and ribbon garland drapes the upper arch of each frame, ending in an ornate ribbon bow at its centre. This garland is highly decorative and typical of 18th-century French design.
These mirrors date from around 1900. The original mirror plates are beveled on the edges and show some age-related foxing. Perfect above a console table, fireplace or for a dressing room.
Antique French mirrors at their best!
