It is topped with a large original black horsehair "chenille".
Brass rooster plaque bearing the inscription "Srs (Sapeurs) Pompiers de Suevres" (firefighters of the city of Suevres).
Visor richly decorated with foliage and firefighter axes.
Brass chinstraps mounted on leather pad (attachment cord is missing).
Beautiful original plume in two-tone red/black horsehair decorated with a elaborate brass olive.
Original leather and canvas interior. The visor and neck cover have also retained their leather covering.
Splendid collector's item. Rare in this condition!
