Set Of Earthenware Tiles, 18th Century

- Set of 26 blue/white earthenware tiles, 18th century Northern European work

- This set of tiles features a rich decoration, including a winged cupid wrapping a plant stem whose foliage is populated by various figures arranged in a vertical line that follow one another with aerial grace. Among these figures are children with fleshy anatomy, in a seated position; one is waving (repeated motif at the bottom), another is enjoying the pleasure of grapes, while another cupid seems to be falling, trying to grab onto grapes. We can also see animals; a snake and birds. The richness of the plant motifs, with the tendrils and flowers filling the space, gives this abundant decoration a very pleasing visual.

- The decoration is enriched with an inscription in the lower part "De Wynrank".
