"Brussels 1757, Solid Silver, Pair Of Candlesticks, Henricus De Potter, Candlesticks"
Very elegant pair of Louis XV period candlesticks or torches in solid silver. Still deeply designed in the taste of the Louis XIV style, these smaller torches were made in Brussels in 1757 by the silversmith Henricus De Potter. They are for the most part made of cast silver and are therefore quite heavy for their size and weigh 650 grams. This is one of the largest Brussels workshops of its time and dozens of pieces by his hand are known.
