"Gregorian Type Reflecting Telescope"
Unsigned, Late 18th century - Early 19th century - Early 19th century. The instrument, also called a salon telescope, is installed on a folding tripod baluster stand for astronomical observations made on a table. On one side of the tube, a screw allows the adjustment of the two mirrors. A ball joint which ensures the support and orientation of the tube, is housed in a spherical part which unscrews. Beautiful instrument, probably French, the feet and the center of the tripod are engraved with the number 8. Optics in good condition, without closing cap.
