Pewter wine bottle called "Glockenkanne", in the shape of a bell with a long tubular overflow with sides closing with an articulated flap, fitted with a bayonet cap topped with a wide fixed vertical ring.
It has a report shield bearing an engraved marriage mark: FG / V / AME
Master and city hallmark: city arms / IH / ZM / cherub / crescent / two stars, of Johann Jacob 1st or II ZIMMERMANN received respectively around 1735 and 1763. It is not unusual to note that contrary to the regulations, the son often used the father's molds. Without other parameters it is impossible to know here if it is a cast of one or the other.
Height: 29.5 cm.
ZURICH, Second half of the 18th century

Very good condition, two small resorbable dents are however reported at the base and visible on the pictures.
Bibliography: "Die Zinngiesser der Schweiz und ihre Marken" by Schneider and Kneuss which reproduce these marks.
