Colloquint shaped bottle or oval gourd with ribsmade, featuring a relief seal on its main side with a saint in prayer holding a cross, inscribed around: "St J F REGIS APOSTLE".
Perfect condition
The glass is tinted from blue to green. Some traces of limestone that I have not (yet!) tried to clean.

Jean-François Régis (1597 in Fontcouverte, Aude - 1640 in Lalouvesc, Ardèche) was a French Jesuit priest, a missionary in the rural areas following the wars of Religion that devastated France, especially its countryside.
He is known as "the apostle of Velay and Viarais" and "God's walker".
Canonized in 1737, he is liturgically commemorated on June 16.
Due its (rare) subject, it might be a bottle or gourd from a religious community.
