From Louis Philippe period, they are made from blown glass, (some bubbles), body engraved of a leafy decoration, upper edge hemmed with a blue enamel fillet, as was done in Bordeaux at period, base is sealed in a brass ring, its diameters are: 5cm outside, and 3.5cm inside.
It is not rare to find old tealight holder bases, but extremely rare to find a pair of their verrines, in good condition, so pretty, and wearing their almost 2 centuries well…
