Gilt bronze bust of a smiling woman with voluminous, wavy, stylized hair. The sculpture exudes warmth and kindness thanks to the slight smile and soft facial features. The hairstyle evokes a classic or retro aesthetic, possibly from the 1940s or 1950s. The bust rests on a black, multi-tiered base, which contrasts with the golden hue of the sculpture, further highlighting the face. Signed J. De Maegt for Jos De Maegt 1865-1954. There is also the inscription "Unique proof" as this is most likely a unique commission.⸻
