Beautiful blond walnut for this Alsatian piece of furniture, whose cornice movement, very characteristic of this region, is said to be "gendarme hat". The overall design and details, the proportions, the choice of walnut, the high quality of execution and sculpture allow us to attribute the manufacture of this beautiful piece of furniture to the Strasbourg workshops of the 18th century. This sideboard is well-structured with its rounded pilaster uprights structured by a set of candle flutes, the top of the doors of the upper body is carved with foliage, foliage and volute, the corners of the door panels are also decorated with small volutes, the lock entries are in brass engraved with neo-classical motifs, the left door of the upper body has a beautiful wrought iron cremone bolt with brass knob. The upper body, whose interior ceiling is vaulted and follows the shape of the cornice, is removable and assembled with wooden keys.
