Louis XVI Carved Wood Watch Holder
Laurel garlands, occulus with beaded outline, pilaster topped with a planter complete the Louis XVI decor of this carved, lacquered and painted wooden watch holder from the 18th century. Additional base with old inventory numbers in ink on the back, probably added in the 19th century. Beautiful patina with signs of wear over time. The watch placed in the occulus for the photo is not part of the object.
