Louis XIII Buffet With Recess, Double Body In Walnut With Diminutive From The 17th Century, Walnut
Very beautiful and very rare double-body sideboard in solid walnut from the 17th century. The lower part rests on four ball feet topped with a beautiful molding. It opens on the front with two doors and two drawers in the belt, which are surrounded by three small consoles each decorated with an acanthus leaf. The upper part is very interesting, and unusual. Indeed, it opens on the front with three drawers and a door. This one has the particularity of being central and surrounded by two panels forming a reserve, themselves contained between fluted pilasters with Corinthian capitals. The three drawers are located just below these elements and follow the same alignment. They are also framed by small flat columns. The whole is topped with a molding forming a cornice. The side panels of our piece of furniture are made of thick flat strips, as are the door panels. Our piece of furniture has beautiful ironwork (lock entries, pins, pull knobs). This piece of furniture is very small in size, making it easy to place in an interior. 17th century work of high quality and great refinement. The grooves are very thick. They are in perfect condition, which is quite rare for a piece of furniture from this period. Note, some tiny missing parts on some moldings, we remind you that this piece of furniture dates from the 17th century and that it is in remarkable condition for its age.
