Renaissance-style Oak Chest, Decorated With Pilasters, Scrolls, Feathers And Gadroons , 19th Century
Beautiful Renaissance-style solid oak chest.
Constructed in the 19th century, antique elements were used to make the front, notably the two side jambs, the two central pilasters, as well as the horizontal crosspiece with gadroon decoration at the top, and part of the horizontal crosspiece at the bottom.
Our piece of furniture has a beautiful waxed patina, we note the absence of a lock , as well as several cracks in the middle of the top between the two boards forming this same top ( see last photos with indicative arrows ).
